Control Points Measurements Import

RealityCapture (RC) allows importing a position of control points in a specific image, along with ground control points. Positions of control points are specified in pixels in the top-left corner of the image.

There are two ways how to import measurements of control points:

• Using the Control Points import button.
  1. Go to WORKFLOW / Import & Metadata / Control Points.
     
     
     
     • File name The name of the file containing control points measurements.
     • File format Defines the order and type of the values in the file.
     • Values separator Separator used to separate the values found in the distance definitions file. Qualifiers are also supported, which means that you can place each field in double quotes ("") to signify that it is the same field.
     • Ignore first line If the file contains a header, RealityCapture can ignore the first line of the file. Lines that begin with symbol # are automatically skipped.
     • Imported data accuracy It is possible to define the precision of the imported control points measurements in Measurements accuracy in pixels. This value represents the expected placement accuracy of the control point in the image.
  2. You can define your own file format, different values separator, comment symbol or qualifiers in the measurementsimport.xml, which can be found in the application installation folder. You can find the instructions on how to edit the measurementsimport.xml as well as the list of supported values for import here.
